Giving

TITHES & OFFERINGS

There is the opportunity to provide an offering during our Sunday morning service.

For visitors, you are our guest and there is no expectation to give.

The matter of your giving is between you and God, and He always takes into account our circumstances. He knows when they are beyond our power to direct and control. The important thing is that we see giving as a privilege and not a burden. It should not be out of a sense of duty, but rather out of love for the Lord and a desire to see His kingdom advanced. (Billy Graham Evangelistic Association)

Giving online/electronically is becoming increasingly common. If you are looking to do so, you are able to provide a General Offering to:

Name: Red Cliffs Church of Christ

BSB: 633 000

Our leadership team has been prompted to consider  how, as a Church, we can support our members and the wider community in very real and practical terms through the challenges, which illness, isolation, unemployment and other impacts will bring to us.

If you attend our church regularly, you may be familiar with the Hope Chest, a fund that has been utilised at the discretion of the Pastor and Elders, to support people in practical ways. Over the past year these funds have been used to support people with groceries, bill payments, gift vouchers, and the provision of meals for the sick (to name a few). By extending this ministry we imagine that these and other purchases (for example, purchasing meals through Good Golly) could in our current environment be a gracious reflection of Christ’s presence in our community.

For this reason we are inviting contributions for our 'Hope Chest', either directly into our church account (marked 'Hope Chest') or anonymously as a tax deductible gift using EFT or Credit Card, through the CCVT Careworks Account.

The details of the latter are available in a form which can be downloaded below - so that the process can be totally anonymous

if desired.

We commend the opportunity to give in this way - not as a substitute for tithing but as an opportunity to invest in the work of the Kingdom in Red Cliffs.

“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap

generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion,

for God loves a cheerful giver.”

- Corinthians 9:6-7
